Sawaya Jam Factory

Sawaya's Jam Factory moved and started operation in 2011. The factory is located in the satoyama of Karuizawa, surrounded by cabbage fields and wooded areas, where each fruit is prepared by hand under thorough hygiene control. The factory is a "factory for show," and visitors can observe the production process through a glass window. Jam-making workshop (by reservation only) ■ Using seasonal Japanese fresh fruits, visitors can make their own original jam to take home as a souvenir. Families, groups, couples, and adults of all ages can enjoy the experience.
