Organization

Providing a healthy resort style that is both physically and mentally beautiful
-Beautiful Village - Karuizawa, International Resort City

Karuizawa is a plateau blessed with nature and climate, and has a long history as a "summer resort and vacation home" since the Meiji period (1868-1912), when foreigners, political and financial figures, and literary figures built villas in the area one after another.
Today, Karuizawa has carved its history as a "City of International Friendship, Culture and Tourism" and welcomes many tourists and visitors from Japan and abroad with facilities and activities that allow people to experience art, culture, sports, nature, and exchange.
Tourism has become an important national policy in modern times, and many regions are actively promoting tourism projects to revitalize their regions.
With the spirit and pride of a leading resort destination, we will promote the creation of new tourist regions and tourism projects as a creative industry, and enhance the overall strength of regional tourism.
We appreciate your continued understanding and cooperation.

Karuizawa Tourism Association
chairman Yoshiharu Tsuchiya
