How to use

- Please fill out the application form below or fill out the form for mailing or faxing and mail or fax it to us at least one week prior to your visit. For applications from travel agencies, please contact the Tourism Association Secretariat in advance.
- The Karuizawa Tourist Association will contact the “Karuizawa Tourist Guide Association” to determine if a guide is available. If it is possible, we will inform you of the name of the tour guide who will be in charge of the tour. Please note that there are cases in which a tour guide may not be available depending on the availability of tour guides.
- The number of tour guides is one per approximately 10 persons. The tour guide should not take more than 1 to 2 hours.
- For details such as the meeting place with the tour guide and the guided tour course, please discuss with the tour guide in charge at least one day prior to the date of your visit.
- Visitors are required to pay 1,000 yen per tour guide as a guide fee. Please give this amount to the tour guide on the day of the tour.
- Winter guided tours (from the end of the New Year to the end of February) may not be conducted due to weather conditions (icy road surfaces, etc.) and safety considerations.

Application and Inquiries
- One tour guide will be provided for every five guests.
- As a general rule, the duration of the tour guide should be 1 hour and 30 minutes.
- Customers are requested to wear masks.
- The meeting place will be the Karuizawa Kanko Kaikan or Karuizawa Station Rotary. Please take your temperature (name, contact information, and body temperature on a special form) and disinfect your hands and fingers at the meeting place.
- We may refuse to provide guided tours to guests with a body temperature of 37.5 degrees Celsius or higher.
