Karuizawa Chapel of Light Pierre Matiada

The "Chapel of Light" is a beautiful designer space that blends in with the nature of Karuizawa. The glass fronted ceiling gradually rises toward the altar, creating a sense of openness. Beyond the altar, a world of openness spreads out, giving the guests an extraordinary feeling of being in the middle of nowhere.
Morning dew is invisible moisture in the air that appears as dew. It is always present around us, but we usually cannot see it.
The church was built and named "Pierre Matiada: Morning Dew on Stone" with the hope that the couple will be able to live a life in which they can feel not only what they can see, but also what they cannot see: happiness in their hearts and kindness to each other.
