Stained Glass Baroque, Inc., a 49-year-old custom-made stained glass studio based in Saitama City, Saitama Prefecture, plans to open its Karuizawa Gallery for the summer of 2024 from July27 (Sat) to September1 (Sun). In addition, to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Karuizawa Gallery, a special exhibition will be held at the Karuizawa Kanko Kaikan ( 1F audio-visual space) from September10 (Tue) to September16 (Mon). ◼ ︎︎ Karuizawa Kanko Kaikan ( 1F audiovisual space) -Special Exhibits
This exhibition will feature works by stained glass craftsman Sadakazu Usui.
The exhibition will consist of approximately 15 works on display at the Head Office Gallery (Head Office: Saitama City, Saitama Prefecture). As examples of the works, visitors can see a large Tiffany lamp (replica) and high-grade panel works. In addition, a special new panel work designed in the motif of clematis, created to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Karuizawa Gallery, will also be on display.

Opened in 1983 for the summer season only, this is a gallery of stained glass craftsman Sadakazu Usui’s works. In addition to the Karuizawa Gallery, there is also a permanent exhibition at the Head Office Gallery (Head Office: Saitama City, Saitama Prefecture).

This gallery is located along the road to the “Saisei Muroo Memorial Museum.
Visitors will be able to see a variety of original Baroque works, including Art Nouveau, Mucha, and Wright style works, as well as collaborative works, etched glass works, and d’Art de verre works. Please take this opportunity to view authentic stained glass works up close.
During the opening period, in addition to viewing the works, the studio staff will be available for consultation regarding stained glass for your villa or home. Admission is free, so please feel free to stop by during your stroll in Karuizawa.
