About “Family Soshi

Family Soshi is a unique form of entertainment that combines recitation and acting with a script in hand, plus live guitar and piano music.

No large sets or equipment are needed, only chairs on the stage, and the performers wear simple monotone costumes.

Unlike other recitations, they do not remain seated, but move around the stage as in a play.

The stories are all related to “family” and use familiar subject matter, making them accessible to many people.
