Mt. Asama Eruption Warning (Level 1 → 2)
The Japan Meteorological Agency issued information on Mt. Asama and raised the eruption alert level from “1” to “2” at 4:00 p.m. on March 23, 2021.
There is a possibility of a small eruption affecting an area roughly 2 kilometers from the crater.
Please continue to pay attention to the volcano information released by the Japan Meteorological Agency.
