2021 Karuizawa Photo Contest

We are looking for entries under the four themes of “spring,” “summer,” “autumn,” and “winter” in Karuizawa.
1. photograph a moment in Karuizawa that you feel “nice! The moment when I felt “nice” in Karuizawa.

3. Post photos taken in Karuizawa Town to Instgram with the hashtag “#2021Karuizawa Photo Contest” or “#2021karuizawaphotocontest”. For photos taken at Karuizawa Prince Hotel and Karuizawa Prince Hotel Ski Resort, please add “#Karuizawa Prince Hotel” in addition.
We will repost the works that match the theme from among the submitted photos on the official Karuizawa Photo Contest account as needed.
The Grand Prix, Spring Prize, Summer Prize, Autumn Prize, Winter Prize, and Karuizawa Prince Hotel Prize will also be selected.

Award Summary
Grand Prix (1) : 30,000 yen
Spring prize, Summer prize, Autumn prize, Winter prize (1 each): 5,000 yen gift certificate for each prize
Karuizawa Prince Hotel Prize (4 prizes): 2 pairs of tickets for a stay at the hotel and 2 pairs of tickets for a lunch.
Sponsor’s Special Prize (4): to be announced on Instagram as soon as they are determined
Luiza-chan Prize (10 prizes): Luiza goods from Karuizawa Tourism Association (slim bottle, bear bell, sticker *You cannot choose the contents of the goods. Please understand)
Winning entries will be announced on the Karuizawa Tourism Association website and official SNS account. Entries will also be used in publicity and other activities.
*Prizes and merchandise must be shipped to domestic destinations only.

[Eligibility.
Everyone is welcome to apply, regardless of professional or amateur, nationality, gender, or age.
Application Rules
Up to 5 entries per person, no group photos.
Entries must have been taken by the submitter themselves between April 1, 2021 and February 4, 2022, and must not have been previously published. Please note that the year to be used in the hashtag should be 2021, even if the photo was taken in the year 2022.
Photos that are composites or extremely processed will not be considered (brightness, saturation, etc. adjustments and cropping within the scope of development are acceptable).
Must be following the official Instagram (@karuizawaphoto.official) of the Karuizawa Photo Contest to be connected by photos.
Notes on Application
Copyrights to all entries and prize-winning works belong to the photographers.
The organizer and sponsors may use the winning entries free of charge for the purpose of promoting tourism in Karuizawa, in media such as PR magazines and websites, in collections of works, in exhibitions, and in displays at other facilities, etc., provided that the photographer’s name or pseudonym is indicated. In addition, the images may be cropped, color-corrected, or otherwise modified as necessary.
The winning entries must be submitted as data, so please save the original data.
If a third party’s permission (portrait rights) is required, it is the responsibility of the entrant to obtain such permission before submitting the entry. The organizer will not be responsible for any complaints or objections from third parties regarding infringement of their rights or compensation for damages in connection with the entries or prize-winning works. The entrant shall be responsible for resolving any such issues.
Entries and prize-winning entries will be invalidated if they are taken in prohibited areas, offensive to public order and morals, defamatory of others, or otherwise deemed inappropriate by the organizer.
