June, every Saturday night at 7:00 pm (doors open at 6:30 pm)!
Since 2012, the NPO Aburaya Project has been utilizing the former Aburaya Ryokan building to host a variety of cultural activities centered on books and art. In the summer, art-related workshops, rakugo performances, concerts, and other events are held, and in the fall, the “Honmono Market” is held to exhibit and sell the works of handmade craftspeople.
This film screening is an attempt to add the genre of “film” to those exhibitions and events. We hope that people will be able to enjoy small-group screenings of films (documentaries, past masterpieces, etc.) that are not easily seen on smartphones (Netflix, etc.) or at cinema complexes (new releases, etc.) at the “oil house” theater.
