The poetry play “Hibiki to Furious” will be performed on May 1 (Sat.) and 2 (Sun.) at the “Cultural Magnetic Field Aburaya” Tenjin Jiten!
The novel “Echoes and Fury” depicts the downfall of the Compson family, a prominent family in the American South during the 1910s and ’20s. From a large number of characters, this monologue play by a single actress focuses on Benjy, who is intellectually disabled, Cadey, who has run away from home, and Miss Quentin, who never knew her father.
Kenzaburo Ohashi, a well-known Faulkner researcher, had a villa in Oibu and is associated with Oibu. This is also a Faulkner play in Oibu, which is associated with Kenzaburo Ohashi.
