Tour of the glass-walled chapel designed by architect Kengo Kuma / Karuizawa New Art Museum

Birch and moss forest through the wind will start tour of the chapel.

The Karuizawa New Art Museum will begin offering tours of the glass-walled chapel designed by Kengo Kuma, the world-renowned architect of the “National Stadium” and “Takanawa Gateway Station,” twice daily, for a limited number of 10 people. Normally, it is not possible to see the chapel up close, but tour participants will be allowed to take pictures.

Time Period

Twice daily 11:30 a.m.~ / 2:00 p.m. – 15 minutes each time

Number of people

Limited to 10 people (first-come, first-served basis; deadline when capacity is reached)

entrance fee

Chapel tour only: 300 yen
Free of charge for those with tickets to the 2nd floor exhibition.
*The tour fee will be used for moss and building maintenance.
